Now let's remember some of the key stuff the John Schaffner taught us this weekend:
First you gotta know the truth, and who is the truth? Jesus! You gotta know the truth, because Real Truth Always Transforms. And where do we find truth? The Word, God's word. So where is your jelly bean? Have you INjested it yet? Embrace it, injest it and start putting on spiritual weight.
Then you gotta speak the truth, but before you speak a word, you gotta live it out. We need to be a demonstration of the Gospel. Remember Jesus' example: His mission was to seek and save that which was lost, and his method was not to be served, but to serve, and not just help out, but to give his life - a sacrifice. There's gotta be a cost.
And finally, we've gotta be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do any of the things you committed to do. Otherwise you'll just get human results from human effort. And the way to get that power is through prayer.
I'll be praying for you guys as you live out what you believe.
